Barker Beds OrthoLift Crate Bed

Barker Beds
OrthoLift makes the most sense when the crate is already part of the dog’s routine and the hard tray needs meaningful cushioning. The key buying step is matching the exact crate tray size rather than relying on general small/medium/large labels.

Why a dedicated crate bed is different
A crate tray is hard, and many thin pads compress quickly under a large dog. Barker Beds builds the OrthoLift around a 4-inch foam structure so the dog is not resting directly against the metal or plastic base.
Measure the crate before ordering
The current size guide is designed around common crate footprints. Measure the inside tray itself and leave the manufacturer’s intended clearance around the edges. Do not assume an XL dog automatically needs an XL crate bed.
Daily use and cleaning
The removable cover is intended for routine washing. Inspect the cover and seams regularly, especially if the dog digs, nests or chews bedding. The product page notes that chewing, accidents and misuse are not covered by the foam warranty.
Who should choose it
This model is most compelling for dogs already comfortable in a crate, particularly larger dogs or dogs that spend meaningful resting time there. It is less compelling if the crate is used only briefly or if destructive chewing makes any foam bed unsafe.
