Both cameras are 1080p; movement is the real upgrade
The standard Petcube Cam uses a fixed 110-degree view. Cam 360 adds 350-degree horizontal and 55-degree vertical movement plus a closed-lens privacy position. Both provide two-way audio, night vision and optional Petcube Care features.
Choose Cam when the important area is predictable
A fixed camera works well when you mainly care about one sofa, crate, feeding zone or doorway. Good placement solves much of the problem for less money and with fewer moving parts.
Choose Cam 360 when the pet moves around one open room
Rotation is useful in a studio apartment, large living room or open-plan area. It is less useful when the pet moves between closed rooms. In that situation, a two-camera pack can provide more reliable coverage than a single rotating camera.
Privacy
Cam 360 has a visible closed-lens privacy mode. That can be meaningful in a bedroom or shared living space because household members can see that the lens has been moved away from the room.
Verdict
Buy Cam for focused monitoring and Cam 360 for flexible single-room coverage. Do not pay for rotation merely because it sounds more advanced; pay for it when the room layout makes the feature useful.
