Petcube Cam 360

Petcube

8.8/10 editorial score

Cam 360 is the best general-purpose Petcube camera for a single active room. Its rotating lens solves the biggest limitation of the cheaper Cam while keeping the same 1080p resolution and optional Care model.

Best forPet owners who want to remotely scan most of one room instead of relying on a fixed camera angle.
Think twice ifBuyers who mainly want treat dispensing, laser play, or coverage across several separate rooms.

Petcube also offers two- and three-camera Cam 360 packs for homes that need rotating-camera coverage in more than one room.

Rotation is the reason to choose it

Petcube Cam 360 takes the same basic job as the standard Cam and fixes its biggest limitation: a stationary viewpoint. The camera can rotate through 350 degrees horizontally and 55 degrees vertically, so you can reposition the view from the app instead of hoping your pet stays inside one fixed frame.

That is most useful in a living room, studio apartment, open kitchen area, or other space where a pet moves between several favorite spots. It is less useful when the problem is coverage across different closed rooms; in that case, two smaller fixed cameras can be the more practical layout.

Privacy mode is more than a software toggle

Cam 360 can move the lens into a closed position for privacy. That is a meaningful design detail for a camera that may sit in a bedroom or main living area. It gives household members a visible indication that the lens is not pointing into the room.

Image quality and audio

The video specification remains 1080p HD with 8x digital zoom rather than moving to 2K or 4K. For pet checking, the more important gain is often the ability to aim the camera at the right place. Night vision reaches up to 30 feet and two-way full-duplex audio lets you listen and speak through the app.

Subscription decision

Like the other Petcube cameras, Cam 360 can be used for live monitoring without a paid Care subscription. Petcube Care becomes relevant when you want recorded history, smart event alerts, web access and the other cloud features. That means the purchase decision should separate the hardware question—do you need rotation?—from the service question—do you need stored events?

Bottom line

Cam 360 is the strongest default choice for someone who wants one Petcube camera in one busy room. Choose the cheaper Cam when the view is predictable, Play 2 when interactive laser play matters, or Bites 2 Lite when remote treat tossing is a priority.
