Start with rooms, not camera count
One camera can monitor one meaningful zone well. A rotating Cam 360 can cover several angles inside the same open room, but it still cannot see through a closed door or around a wall.
When one camera is enough
One unit is often sufficient for a dog that stays in a crate or a cat whose favorite resting and feeding areas are visible from the same position. Place the camera first and live with the blind spots before buying more.
When two cameras make sense
A two-pack is useful when the pet moves between two important zones—such as a living room and a crate area, or upstairs and downstairs. Two fixed Cams can sometimes provide more useful coverage than one more expensive rotating camera.
When three cameras are justified
Three units make sense in larger homes only when each camera has a clear job. Avoid buying a pack merely because the unit price is lower. Every extra camera adds another view to maintain and may influence which Petcube Care tier makes economic sense.
