Built for smaller dogs, not simply a shrunken large bed
Barker Beds currently positions the Junior line for dogs up to 50 pounds. The 4-inch foam depth and smaller footprints are calibrated around smaller frames rather than asking an owner to place a small dog on an oversized 7-inch bed.
Headrest versus Sofa
The Headrest Edition keeps most of the mattress open and adds one raised side. The Sofa Edition adds a more surrounding edge, which can suit a dog that consistently curls or leans against the perimeter. Choose by sleeping posture, not by appearance alone.
Sizing matters more than weight alone
The current line includes XS, Small and Medium options. Measure the dog from nose to the base of the tail while fully stretched, then compare that length with the usable sleeping area inside any raised edges.
Care and durability
As with the larger Barker Beds line, the cover is removable and machine washable. Specialty fabrics and optional cooling layers are available on current configurations; confirm the exact care instructions for the fabric you choose.
